The Art and Science of Paper Engineering — TRIBE Net 25 Feature

In 2018, I had the privilege of sharing my passion for paper engineering on the lifestyle and arts television show Tribe, on Net 25. The episode was aired on a national holiday, and they invited me to create a simple pop-up version of the Rizal Monument for the segment. It was such a great way to celebrate national heritage through creativity.

In addition to the monument pop-up, I also got to demonstrate a technique called “Moving Arms” with a jumping dolphin card. This technique, among others, highlights the dynamic possibilities of paper engineering, bringing static designs to life with clever mechanisms.

My appearance on Tribe was made possible by the recognition of my work, Popfolio, by the Movable Book Society. It’s been an incredible journey, and I am always open and excited to share my love for paper engineering.
