Design Students learn Paper Engineering at World Industrial Design Week 2024
On July 4, 2024, I had the wonderful opportunity to lead a paper engineering workshop at the World Industrial Design Week (WIDW) 2024, hosted at De La Salle-College of Saint Benilde.
College Design Students from Miriam, Benilde, UST, UP, and other universities joined us for a dynamic 1.5-hour session where we explored the art of transforming simple sheets of paper into intricate pop-ups and creative designs. From learning fundamental techniques to creating our own reference books, the workshop was a blend of education and hands-on fun.
Seeing the enthusiasm and creativity from these talented students was truly inspiring. Their curiosity and engagement highlighted the incredible potential of paper engineering in design. I can’t wait to see how these budding designers will use their newfound knowledge in their work!
